Today was Day 2 of Teen CERT! The participants met at Mission San Jose High School to continue their training under the guidance of Fremont’s Emergency Services Manager Alex Schubek and Fire Division Chief Diane Hendry. Today, the students learned about emergency go-bags, CERT procedures for fires, the organization of CERT members during an emergency, psychological and physiological effects of a disaster, conducting a triage, and treating injuries in emergencies. The last day of Teen CERT will be December 15.
