Harsh Gurnani


Hi! I am Harsh Gurnani, and I am a senior at Mission San Jose High School. I have always loved the medical field, and I enjoy helping others. YEPC, through its emergency preparedness programs, has given me an opportunity to develop my skills in this field. My hobbies include playing soccer, playing guitar, programming, and traveling. I am the secretary of YEPC, and I hope to be able to give back to the community by helping others realize the importance of emergency preparedness.

My name is Ishika Kolluru, and I am a senior at Irvington High School. I am passionate about helping out the community and my peers, especially in movements pertaining to mental health, and the protection of citizens. My name is Abdulhannan Mohammed, and I am a sophomore at Mission San Kose. My love for programming runs deep, and I wanted to use my skills to help create a safer environment for the younger generations. YEPC gives me that opportunity and thats why I am so excited to be apart of it!

Cynthia Liu

Hi! I’m Cynthia Liu and I’m a junior at Irvington High School. What inspired me to join YEPC was how I’ve always wanted to get more in touch with my community and help others, especially those in emergency situations. As a result, I saw this club as a perfect opportunity to not only help create safer environments, but also expand my knowledge in this field. As a student representative, I’m ready to dedicate myself to the movement and support those in need. I’m incredibly grateful to work alongside this team this year and am excited for our upcoming events!

My name is Dominique Antillon. I am a senior at Kennedy High School. I am interested in emergency preparedness because of climate change and more dangerous natural disasters. I want people to be safe, prepared, and ready when an emergency happens. I can’t wait to see what I will learn from the YEPC and ways I can prepare my community.

Hi! My name is Arora and I am currently a sophomore at John F. Kennedy High School. I enjoy playing basketball, listening to music, and writing. I am currently working on a self-initiative organization called Fire Safety which is A non-profit organization dedicated to educating students about the dangers of fires & raising money/supplies for underprivileged families/homeless people. I hope to partner with YEPC to help and empower people to prepare for disasters!

I’m in 11th grade and I go to Mission San Jose High School. My interests include Boy Scouts, robotics, and debate. I wanted to join the YEPC to spread awareness about emergency preparedness especially as we are close to a fault line and are due for an earthquake.

Hey! I’m Fatima, a sophomore at James Logan High School. By joining YEPC, I hope to emphasize the importance of emergency preparedness due to its unforeseen circumstances. Outside of YEPC, you can find me rowing on the Oakland estuary in the evenings!

My name is Talhah Jawad, and I’m a sophomore at COIL Charter School.  Some of my hobbies are playing basketball, reading books, and astronomy. I want to join YEPC in order to educate myself and society on how to prepare and be ready for a natural disaster.
